The Hoosier Theater, partnering with Vevay Main Street, hosted a sock hop for the November First Friday with the Slick River Rockets Band performing!
The Den of Poe, starring Steve Abolt, along with a presentation of the historical fashions by Dana Gagnon was performed at the Theater on October 7th. Thanks to the Pleasants Rose Mansion Inn for sponsoring the event, and along with the Musee De Venoge for their assistance, and Vevay Main Street for incorporating it into First Friday.
The Hoosier Theater was glad to help coordinate a Variety Show fundraiser for flood relief in Switzerland County, Indiana and Eastern Kentucky.
The event was emceed by Pastor Mike Sawalich and performers included: The Coupe Deville Band; David Sloan, Christian Illusionist; and Pastor Brian Shoemaker in "A Tribute to Comics and Crooners."
The Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers visited the Hoosier Theater on September 17th and put on a great show!
The Hoosier Theater hosted a Community Hymn Sing on the first Saturday in August.
Carol Ann Sublett and Pastor Bill Madison provided music and John Erickon was emcee.
The Hoosier Theater worked with Switzerland County Tourism to show two movies that starred Ken Maynard, the actor who was born here in Vevay, Indiana.
We showed Strawberry Roan and In Old Santa Fe with a presentation by historian, Kevin Parks, in between. It was a great day!
When you purchase a ticket online, we get the confirmation sent to us. All you need to be sure to do is add your name, pay, and, (if specified) the night/time you are coming. Then, the ticket will be here waiting for you with your name on it!
