The Historic Hoosier Theater is pleased to present an inspiring and educational, one-man dramatic play entitled Hyam, the Temple Guard- A Life Renewed! - a timeless story of a man serving in the Temple of Solomon at the time of Christ, who is challenged to stand against the wrongs that surround him and fights to find faith to become the man he needs to be. This is a challenge many face today in our schools and neighborhoods. The presentation is powerful and inspiring to youth, parents, and community leaders.
The presentation will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm and again at 4:30 pm. The community is encouraged to attend without charge.
This play was written by Deks Nordquist who also stars as Hyam. Deks graduated with a degree in Military History from Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a passion for the youth of America, Mr. Nordquist has shared his love of our history by lecturing on the history of our nation from the American Revolution through World War II in costume for over 600 schools in the last 40 years. His presentations of The Temple Guard have ignited faith and hope for over 40,000 people in the last seven years. This presentation is enthusiastically endorsed by Ken Ham, President/CEO of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum where Mr. Nordquist also serves as a volunteer.
