The Historic Hoosier Theater at 209 Ferry Street has announced the return of their Children’s Theater Summer Workshop. Beginning Monday, June 12th, acting coaches will be present at the theater to teach acting and theater to local and area youth. On Friday, June 16th the students will perform (for the invited public) a play that they will have been working on throughout the camp.
The camp runs from June 12th-16th, 1:00-5:00 p.m. daily, with snacks provided. All students, ages 8-18, are welcome to apply. Applications can be picked up at the Switzerland County Tourism office located at 128 W. Main Street in Vevay (or call 812-427-3237). This free workshop is limited to 30 students, so be sure to return your application by Friday, June 2nd. This is a great way to get a started in community theater.
